Post Office Closures

There are plans to close the following local Post Offices :

217 High Street South, Dunstable, LU6 3HY
112-114 Luton Road, Dunstable, LU5 4JW
96 High Street, Eaton Bray, LU6 2DP

The public consultation period closed on 26 August 2008.

Postwatch have written to the Post Office with their views (based on the public consultation feedback) and have indicated that they are opposed to the closure of the High Street South Post Office.

The Post Office will review responses received and then confirm whether or not the above closures will proceed.

The Post Office decision is due to be announced on 17 September 2008.
